Exec Spotlight- Briana Ryan

Meet Briana

Meet Briana Ryan! Briana is from Orange County, CA and this fall she will be a senior Pi Phi majoring in Public Relations with a Business minor. Briana was elected as this years President! Read down below to learn a little bit about Briana!

What was your first pi phi role?

My freshman year I was on the New Member Committee and I also served as the Executive Assistant

Why did you want to be on exec?

I always knew that I wanted to be more involved in my community when I got to college and when I joined Pi Phi I knew it was the place for me! I looked for opportunities that would push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to use my own skills and personality to best serve our chapter. Eventually, I joined exec in 2019 as VP of Administration, which did both, and the rest is history! Over the past three years I’ve enjoyed serving our members in the best way I know how and I’m glad I have one more semester to continue that as Chapter President, PPL!

Detail your exec role:

As Chapter President I oversee all chapter operations and our lovely executive board! I also work closely with our chapter’s Panhellenic Delegate (shoutout Olivia!) and other Panhellenic leaders to grow our community and foster inclusivity and involvement in Pi Phi and all of Greek Life!

Favorite memory so far through your experience?

Running home on bid day for the second time as a Pi Chi🤍

Has this position been helpful for you in anyway?

It has been helpful for me in SO many ways! I’ve learned how to work effectively with different leaders, formed relationships with other chapter presidents, and figured out how to make the best out of unexpected situations! I’ve also learned a lot about myself and how I work best and most effectively (hint: this includes making a lottt of time for self care lol!)

Would you recommend trying to get a leadership position?

1000% yes! It is such a good way to get to know your sisters and to learn and grow as an individual. It has definitely contributed a lot to what I have gotten out of my Pi Phi experience🥰

Why do you love pi phi?

I love Pi Phi because we are a large and diverse group of women who empower each other to be the best version of ourselves. Not knowing many people when I came to Auburn, Pi Phi made me feel a part of something bigger than myself and has guided me every step of the way through my college experience. No matter what you’re looking for, there’s somebody in here who you can go to for advice, inspiration, or just a friend!
