Courtney Penrose is a rising senior from Atlanta, GA. If she could describe herself, the three words that stand out are energetic, positive and outgoing, and our sister's couldn't agree more. Last year
Courtney served on executive board as the Vice President of Membership and she put on an amazing recruitment, as well as served our members with care and commitment that we are so thankful for. She is majoring in Communication Disorders with a minor in Spanish. When Courtney graduates, she would like to get her Master's in Speech Language Pathology. It would be hard for Courtney to choose her favorite year in Pi Phi because she has truly loved every second of the experience. If she had to choose though she would pick her freshman year. Coming from out of state, Courtney didn't really know anyone at Auburn. She loved instantly finding friends in Pi Phi that she knew would last her forever. Every day of Courtney's freshman year was filled with getting to know someone new and it was all so new and exciting! Apart from being involved in Pi Phi Courtney also serves as research assistant for the department of Communication Disorders. This means she helps her professors with whatever research study is going on in the Speech and Hearing Clinic in Haley. Courtney chose Pi Phi because like she said she is from out of state, and when she went through sorority recruitment three years ago, she really had no idea what Greek life was all about other than the fact she knew she wanted to be a part of it. When Courtney met the girls at Pi Phi, she instantly felt a connection. Seeing the way the girls carried themselves with confidence, the poise they had, and their passion towards their chapter, it was then that Courtney knew exactly how she wanted her college story to begin. Courtney fell in love with the energy and positivity and realness of this chapter, and has fallen more and more in love with Pi Phi ever since! (A note from Courtney~Xoxo I mean this from the bottom of my heart)! Three things Courtney couldn't live without are her golden-doodle Bailey (she is the love of her life), Starbucks, and AUBURN FOOTBALL WDE ALWAYS ❤ We would have to say it would be hard for our members to live without a sister like Courtney and we are so excited to see where her senior year takes her!!!
