Exec Spotlight~ Savannah Strickland

Savannah Strickland is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance for Auburn Pi Beta Phi. She is a rising senior majoring in Accounting and recently just accepted an internship in Atlanta with PwC in tax for the Spring semester. After Savannah graduates Undergrad in May 2019, she hopes to get into Auburn's MAcc program and stay another year for Grad school while also taking her CPA. Savannah is originally from Alpharetta, GA and hopes to move back to Atlanta and work at PwC after completing Grad school. She really wanted to join exec to get more involved in Pi Phi and help the chapter grow to be the best it can be. Holding the leadership position of VP Finance has really helped Savannah grow in the past 6 months. Since she wants to go into tax after she graduates, being the VP of Finance has helped her work with some of Pi Phi's vendors to get Form 1099's, fill out tax organizers, and listening to tax webinars while also doing many other things that will help her in the future in her career and personal life. Even though this position does get hard and crazy at times, Savannah wouldn't trade it for the world. She has learned a lot from this position that will stick with her after her time serving is up. However, the most important thing Savannah would say that she learned would be time management. It has really taught her to balance her school work, friends, family, with also the work from this position as well as the constant questions/emails/texts from Pi Phi's members. Savannah would like to leave this chapter a little better than when she got it.
